My laboratory research has resulted in a rapid ten minute test to detect antibodies for Valley fever.  The test is species agnostic and works in humans and animals using serum plasma, whole blood, fingerstick blood and cerebrospinal fluid.  Use of the test by urgent care and emergency departments may allow Valley fever patients to avoid inappropriate treatments.
